Modern X-ray Center of the Faculty of Dentistry with Clinics in Sarajevo provides services of x-ray diagnostics with the latest equipment at the lowest possible radiation of patients with proffesional and experienced staff.
CBCT – Cone Beam Computed Tomography
Dental cone computed tomography (CBCT- Cone Beam Computed Tomography) is a special type of X-ray apparatus used in situations where regular dental recordings are not enough. This type of CT scan uses a special type of technology to generate three-demensional (3D) image of tooth structure, soft tissues, nerves and bones in cranio-facial region in a single scan. Images obtained with CBCT allow precise treatment planning.
CBCT provides detailed images of bone and is used for a detailes assessment of disease of the jaw, teeth, bone structure of the face, nasal cavity and sinuses. So complete diagnostic information have not been available with conventional CT images especially in the assessment of soft tissues such as muscles, lymoh nodes, glands and nerves.
Digital radiography is a form of X-ray which uses digital x-ray sensors instead of traditional photographic film. Benefits include better quality, time efficiency bypassing chemical processing and ability of digitally transfer and improve of shot. Also, less radiation is needed to produce the image in contrast to conventional radiotherapy.

Orthopantomograph is the panoramic scan of the teeth of upper and lower jaw using the X-ray beams. We get a two-dimensional display of half circle from ear to ear. Panoramic radiography is a form of tomography; it combines the multiple images to create one panoramic view. The nomenclature: panoramic radiographs, dental orthopantomograph and radiography.
